Refyna

Cookie policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

This page explains how Refyna uses cookies and similar technologies on refyna.io, what each category does, how long it lasts, and how you can change your consent at any time. This page is a companion to our privacy policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies let a site remember things across page loads and visits — for example, that you've already dismissed a banner, or that an analytics provider should ignore visits from staff members. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels, beacons) do the same job in different ways; we use the term "cookies" in this policy to cover all of them.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function. These can't be turned off and don't require consent under EU law because the site wouldn't work without them.

  • Session cookie — keeps your session active across page loads.
  • Security cookie — prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks on form submissions.
  • Consent record — stores your cookie consent choices so we don't show the banner again on every visit. Expires after 12 months; you can clear it at any time via .

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages get traffic, which links are clicked, how long sessions last. No personally identifiable data is shared with the analytics provider; IP addresses are anonymized at the edge before storage.

We use these to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors. These cookies require your consent and are off by default.

Advertising

Used to measure ad-campaign performance and to show you Refyna ads on other websites you visit. If you've consented to advertising cookies, we may share signals with advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta) to attribute conversions and to build audiences for retargeting.

These cookies require your consent and are off by default. Disabling them means you may still see Refyna ads, but they won't be personalized to your interests, and we won't be able to measure their effectiveness as precisely.

Personalization

Remember your preferences across visits — for example, that you've dismissed a particular banner or that you've toggled a setting. These cookies require your consent and are off by default.

Google Consent Mode v2

Refyna uses Google Consent Mode v2. This means: until you give consent, no advertising or analytics cookies are written, and any Google tags on the page operate in a cookieless, identifier-free mode. Once you give consent (or change your choices), the appropriate signals are restored.

Changing your consent

You can change your cookie consent at any time by clicking the link below, which reopens the preference center:

You can also clear all cookies via your browser settings — instructions for the major browsers:

Do Not Track

Refyna respects the EU's stricter consent regime, which is functionally stronger than the legacy "Do Not Track" header. If you have DNT enabled, you'll still see the consent banner because EU law requires explicit, granular consent — but the defaults that load are the same as if you'd clicked "Reject all."

Updates to this policy

When we add new categories of cookies or change vendors, we'll update the table above and bump the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be re-prompted via the consent banner.
